Telouet - pendant

This pendant is an ode to the ruins of a kasba we visited near Telouet, in the mountains of the Atlas. In the early days, this was the power centre of the Glaoui's and the beautiful kasba, the residence of the sultan. But because of war, the sultan was driven away and the beautiful kasba was just left there.....to slowly fade away. What a shame.

The interior, or what's left of it, is stil stunning.
